Tuning the sporty Toyota GR 86 coupe has evolved into something like a flash mob in Japan, despite the fact that the sales haven’t even started yet. Along with a dozen other aftermarket vendors, Blitz revealed its own rendition of the car.
The new body kit makes the front end look a bit like that of the technically identical Subaru BRZ. There is a splitter at the lower front end, and the apron becomes wider than stock to match flared fenders and side skirts. Enkei Racing Revolution RS05RR multi-spoke wheels sized 18 inches in diameter fill out the wells along with Dunlop Direzza ZIII rubber. The suspension is about as low as it gets, and the brakes are reinforced.
Moving on to the rear, there is a carbon-fiber rear wing and a diffuser that incorporates blue-burnt exhaust tips. Open the door to see new shift stick, handbrake and seats, as well as oil pressure and temperature gauges on the dash.
Rounding things off is an engine upgrade that remains in development so far – as does most of the body kit, which for now only exists in virtual form. Blitz claims it will begin production soon, however, so be ready if you are interested.
