The Australian subdivision of Toyota has come out with a limited edition of its HiAce minivan, called the HiAce Convertible and equipped with a removable soft top. The company will produce 2019 copies of the car with three wheelbases to select from (standard, LWB, and the twelve-seat SLWB).
The company admits that it primarily attempts to attract new customers with this release. In Australia, the HiAce MPV is generally regarded as a delivery service vehicle and a commercial van, while the soft-top version seems like a nice vehicle to take on a breezy weekend trip along the coastline.
One curious feature of the 2019 Toyota HiAce Convertible comes in the form of an optional oven that comes built into its rear door. You may control the cooking process using the controls on the steering wheel, and a notice will automatically pop up on the dashboard as soon as the meal is ready.
Toyota releases the unusual MPV to celebrate its comeback to the Australian market.
In other April 1st news, Seat announced that it would fit its entire car range with a portable espresso machine complete with two coffee cups.
