2021 Toyota Hilux gets factory accessories

The Japanese automotive giant has released GR, the first in-house tuning package for the facelifted Toyota Hilux pickup.

New equipment encompasses stainless-steel skid plates, a tube to reinforce the front bumper, power-assisted running boards, an internal roll bar, a different exhaust system with larger tips, and extension rods on both axles.

The entire kit will set you back 305,800 JPY (around 2,880 USD), but you can buy individual upgrades if you want to. The running boards that extend automatically whenever the doors open are the single most expensive item on the list at 231,000 JPY (2,178 USD).

The refreshed Hilux makes use of a 2.8-liter diesel engine rated at 204 hp (152 kW) and 500 Nm (370 lb-ft). Outfitted like this, it sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in ten seconds.
