Thailand has its own thriving car tuning industry that’s unlike anywhere else. The tuners there are known for turning affordable cars into supercar lookalikes while simultaneously improving their usability. Case in point: this SUV.
The Frankencar manages to bring together three major brands: its chassis originates from the Toyota Hilux, its engine from Lexus, and its bodywork – while completely original – closely resembles that of the Lamborghini Gallardo. If you ignore the occasional mismatched proportions, you can believe this is indeed a Gallardo body riding high on rugged aftermarket wheels. All four are driven, allowing for confident overlanding.
The tuning shop has other Lamborghini-inspired projects in its portfolio that come close to sixty grand U.S. dollars, but this one is more affordable than most at $45,000.
