Toyota has hosted an event in Thailand dedicated to its 60 years of presence on that market. Among other things, the carmaker demonstrated a concept dubbed the Hilux Revo BEV.
The electric truck had a stub instead of a functional radiator grille and a large door on one of the fenders concealing a charging port. As of yet, Toyota has never offered its Hilux model with an electric or even hybrid powertrain.
It looks like all the details will be revealed later. A battery-powered Hilux slots into the marque’s electric portfolio quite well, so there is little doubt that it will be greenlit for production soon. A hydrogen variant is also in the works.
