The latest Toyota Hilux does its best Land Cruiser impression

Japanese tune-up shop Axell Auto has presented a styling kit for the newest Toyota Hilux making the truck look like the J60-generation Toyota Land Cruiser. The kit is named Brody, and while you are at it, the company may turn your Hilux into a lowrider of sorts.

The new radiator grille sports a vintage appearance with inbuilt novel headlamps composed of LED segments. A massive chrome bumper replaces the stock part, and the hood becomes flatter and more rectangular. The front fenders are cut to accommodate the rounded bumper sides.

For the grille, you can choose between matte black and chrome finishes. The latter can also be seen on the tuner’s Toyota Hilux HighLift project, among others. In addition to the full Brody package, the HighLift rides on tall off-road tires and comes preloaded with stuff for adventurers, including a roof tent. Needless to say, it has plenty of ground clearance.

In turn, the Hilux Lowdown project slams the truck for urban driving and puts it in Yokohama Advan Sport tires. Axell Auto claims that the load carrying capacity remains the same in spite of the lowering.
