Toyota unveils the Land Cruiser 200 Heritage Edition

To celebrate 60 years of the Land Cruiser in the United States, Toyota will launch a limited, U.S.-only Heritage Edition series based on the five-seat Land Cruiser 200 chassis.

Compared to the main series, the Heritage Edition sports 18-inch BBS wheels painted bronze and a different radiator grille. It lacks running boards and chrome-coated door moldings, the latter having become a bit of a fashion thing lately. Its C-pillars bear special badges reminiscent of those Land Cruiser models wore all the way back in the 1960s.

Standard equipment includes protection for the fuel tank, transmission, radiator, and suspension.

The interior of the limited series sports an original leather trim along with washable mats, ventilated front seats, four-zone climate control and a JBL audio system.

The U.S,-only series will ship with the standard 5.7-liter V8 engine rated at 386 hp (288 kW).

The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Heritage Edition comprises 1,200 units and will launch in summer. Prices remain unannounced.
