An employee of Toyota Australia let it slip the other day that nothing prevented the company from releasing a Gazoo Racing variant of its Land Cruiser SUV.
The marque already has the GR Yaris and GR Supra in its current lineup, as well as their “slightly sported-up” GR Sport counterparts. The latter boasts black décor elements, special body kit parts, rear spoilers, and bucket seats in the C-HR and Corolla models.
The alleged GR Land Cruiser may land with a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8, an aerodynamic kit and other similar upgrades.
While no official confirmation has been made regarding the Land Cruiser yet, we do know that Toyota has registered such trademarks as GR Corolla, GR Fortuner and GR Hilux. As such, one can safely expect this trio to get some kind of power treatment from Gazoo Racing.
