Toyota Land Cruiser 300 set for June 9 reveal

Toyota has finally graced us with an official teaser confirming that the next generation of the Land Cruiser is right around the corner. The live reveal will commence on the company’s official YouTube channel next Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

The six-second-long video flashes a radiator grille that looks exactly as it did on the numerous spy phots we’ve all seen before. The exterior changes so far look evolutional, rather than revolutionary, with a few modern touches put on the same easily recognizable body.

The newcomer utilizes a platform known as the TNGA-F and does not have any V8 versions. Instead, it makes use of petrol and diesel six-cylinders, the former rated at 409 PS (403 hp / 301 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque and the latter at 302 PS (298 hp / 222 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Both work in tandem with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Standard features include a 14-channel JBL audio set, digital gauges, and touchscreens for the front and the rear row. Some of the paid options, such as an electro-kinetic stability control system, are exclusive to top trim levels.
