Shortly after revealing the 300 generation of the Land Cruiser, Toyota is offering us a look at its GR Sport version.
The off-roader stands out thanks to a plastic body kit, bumper protectors, black wheels, darkened headlight bezels and especially a blacked-out front grille adorned with a new pattern.
Toyota does mention certain technical upgrades, but leaves us in the dark as to what they mean, specifically. Suspension tweaks and roll stabilization are our best guesses right now. Among other things, the video focuses on a cornering assist system that automatically brakes the inner rear wheel to reduce the turn radius.
The new generation utilizes the TNGA platform and gets rid of the old 5.7-liter V8 lineup. The six-pots offered as replacement are said to be both more powerful and fuel-conservative, the petrol one rated at 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) and the diesel one at 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW). A ten-speed automatic transmission drives the wheels.
