The Middle East subdivision of Toyota has unveiled a special entry-level Land Cruiser 300 designed for customers willing to minimize their expenses.
The car comes equipped with a naturally aspirated four-liter gasoline V6 the likes of which Toyota uses for its Prado models. Rated at 275 PS (271 hp / 202 kW), it links to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The interior makes do with a velour-and-fabric trim that replaces expensive leather, and some of the driving aids are missing. A nine-inch touchscreen display and a 3-zone HVAC are still included, though.
The Land Cruiser 300 starting price in the United Arab Emirates is 6.5%, or 14,000 Dirhams, higher than that of the previous generation. However, if you drove the 4.6-liter V8 version and now want a similarly powerful SUV, you will need the 3.4-liter V6 turbo version of the LC300, which costs a whopping 25% extra.
The new cheap spec may later be released in Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
