A while ago, the Japanese car corporation revived the production of OEM spare parts for the old Supra A70 and A80 models. Now, just as the new Land Cruiser 300 reached the showroom floors, it has added the Land Cruiser J40 to the Heritage list.
As you may have heard, the off-roader was produced exclusively in Japan until 1984, after which a facility opened in Brazil that continued to make it until the 2000s.
Toyota conducted a sociological survey among J40 owners, who provided feedback on the parts they considered the most difficult to obtain and the units most in need of overhauling. As it turned out, most respondents mentioned issues with the exhaust system, as well as the engine and the transmission.
