To celebrate the launch of the new Land Cruiser 300 in Japan, Toyota has shared a few design sketches of the SUV, revealing a handful of futuristic designs with plentiful touchscreen displays.
A portion of the images depicts the Land Cruiser with a rather unusual front fascia, complete with a giant hexagonal grille, square headlamps, and flared fenders. Other drafts make it look like the latest RAV4, and others yet go for an all-new look with slim headlights.
As far as the interior is concerned, it appears that Toyota had originally intended to put a couple of extra touchscreens under the main display, where it ended up putting hardware buttons and air vents. Note also the center tunnel turned into a single giant sensor panel; as appealing as that might have looked to some of us, the company obviously went for a more practical design.
Sales of the next-gen Land Cruiser continue at a landslide pace in Japan, with certain trim levels sold out up to four years in advance.
