Video: Toyota Land Cruiser rocks a $4.4k anti-riot shovel upgrade

Street riots are part of our reality right now, and there is a whole special vehicle fleet dedicated to situations when things get out of control – prisoner vans, water cannons, armored trucks etc. SVI Engineering believes you can sweep protesters away with a much cheaper upgrade installable on a sufficiently robust SUV or truck.

It comes in the approximate shape of a grader blade mounted at the front end of the car. Curiously enough, SVI Engineering advertises the same solution to law enforcement agencies and mining companies alike.

Watch the video to see how the grader blade works. In a raised state, it can be used as a power bumper for pushing crowds, while in a lowered state, it should lend itself well to clearing away debris. The add-on weighs around 100 kilograms (220 pounds), takes only 30 minutes to install, and costs $4,400 USD.
