Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX600 drop out of sale for a year

Dealerships have stopped taking orders for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and the Lexus LX600. Creative Trend believes that buying them would be available in a year at the soonest.

Two main reasons are cited for the delay. First, the demand for both models exceeded the supply since the production start, resulting in a large backorder. Second, ongoing Covid-related restrictions in China result in reduced shipments of parts.

Dealerships in Japan are reporting delays in accepting orders for these cars and deliveries on the orders already placed. No one is naming any specific dates, but experts believe we may be in it until mid-2023 at best.

Lexus admitted the new LX was on backorder in February. Customers would need to wait around three years to take delivery, and we can imagine the queue being even longer now. Furthermore, the automotive giant can no longer meet the demand for the new NX and RX SUVs, either. As for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, the company admitted in January that it was on a four-year-long backorder.
