YouTuber Matthew Geer has posted a short video starring a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 descending a particularly challenging trail in Moab Desert with apparent ease. The descent is short, but very steep, and the rear tires nearly lose contact with the ground from time to time.
Still, thanks to the driver’s skill and the course corrector’s instructions, the Cruiser manages to descend gracefully even though the slightest miscalculation could have sent it tumbling down to a hard landing.
According to the video description, it was filmed back in 2021. The manufacturing year of the SUV is not specified, but the front fascia suggests it’s the first facelift version that came out in 2013 or slightly later than that. Off-road tires and a snorkel suggest that it has since been modded for different kinds of off-road driving.
Although the latest-gen Land Cruiser is not being sold in North America, customers in the USA may opt for its upmarket alternative – the Lexus LX.
