While presenting the next-gen Land Cruiser Prado, Toyota has also demonstrated a refreshed Land Cruiser 70 model, which ended up with yet another facelift since 1984.
As you may have noticed, the front fascia now looks like that of the new Prado (watch the video and compare if you haven’t). The 70 also sports a new radiator grille and round LED headlights. The brake lights are only found on the rear bumper. A look inside reveals a new steering wheel and a different gear selector.
Just like the new Prado, the Land Cruiser 70 now ships with a 2.8-liter TDI engine rated at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque. The only difference is that, while the Prado gets an optional e-motor with that engine, the classic SUV is missing out on it.
The sales will start in winter, Toyota says.
