Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Black Onyx hits the market in Russia

Sales of the Black Onyx edition of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado have started in Russia. The car only has a few bumper details and badges to show for being different from the production model.

Powering the series is a 4.0-liter gasoline V6 rated at 249 PS (246 hp / 183 kW) and a 2.8-liter TDI good for 200 PS (197 hp / 147 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. Lik its base model, the new Black Onyx boasts a nine-inch touch-enabled infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Satellite navigation, a power sunroof and a JBL audio system are listed under options. An extended package also includes rear bank heating, ceiling-mounted air blowers for the rear row, and an engine pre-warmer (diesel only). The seven-seater Prado has a power folding option for the back seat. The rear suspension is air-based and can adjust the ride height, increase the departure angle when needed and improve steering with a trailer attached.

The iDRCC package includes a dynamic cruise control system with distance keeping and traffic sign recognition features. The Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 adds frontal collision warning, AEB, pedestrian and cyclist detection, drowsiness alert, lane control, and automatic high beam. Rounding off the list is an anti-theft measure called the T-Mark.
