Pakistani man turns cheap cars into well-made classic lookalikes

Pakistan-based tuner Sbc Modifier has unveiled a charming, if not entirely accurate reproduction of the Dodge Challenger on a Toyota Mark 1 chassis. Let us watch the videos – they are worth it!

He fabricated the entire bodywork himself using quality sheet metal and not glass-fiber plastic, like many tuners do nowadays. He resorted to oxy-acetylene welding with filler rods to stitch the whole together – something that only the hardcore, old-school mechanics do nowadays due to the amount of work and physical exertion involved.

A closer glance reveals numerous shortcomings that would prevent most people from believing it is a genuine Challenger. The most glaring discrepancy is that the Mark 1 is a sedan, while the Challenger is a coupe, and nothing was done to conceal the two extra doors. Even so, the quality of execution is really just fine, and an authentic-looking Bordeaux red and white paint scheme helps, too.

The portfolio of Sbc Modifier contains quite a few similar conversions already, notably including a Ford Mustang GT with Kia Spectra underpinnings and a Rolls-Royce running on a 27-year-old Toyota Corona platform. The latter is particularly fascinating, so make sure you watch all three videos if you are passionate about such conversions.
