Man discovers a Toyota MR2 graveyard in Great Britain

Keith Browne has posted a few images on his social pages showing a couple dozen mid-engined Toyota MR2 coupes and roadsters (prod. years 1989 – 1999) decaying out in the open.

The majority of the cars are second-generation (SW20), but a few first-gen examples (AW11) can be seen as well.

By all indications, it has been several years since someone abandoned the cars. One guess has it that the area they reside upon may belong to a car parts dealership that specializes in MR2 spare parts. Two MR2s produced in 1992 and 1999 can be seen in a half-disassembled state, which might mean they were scavenged for parts.

The Toyota MR2 mode, which you can have a closer look at on the video ads here, had been in production since 1984 until 2007. It went by the name “MR2 Spyder” in the United States and was known as “MR-S” in some other countries, like Canada and France.
