A coffee company gets into military with this crazy Toyota Prius tuning

Black Rifle Coffee Company (BRCC), a major producer of coffee beans, has suddenly come out with a very special tuning project: a Toyota Prius hatchback with a humongous M61 Vulcan turret on the roof. Way to advertise yourself, huh?

The M61 Vulcan is essentially a six-barreled machine gun that is ordinarily used by such U.S. Air Force fighter jets as the F16, F18 and F22. Mounting it on a compact hatchback is extremely strange in terms of vehicle choice. Why not take a Ford F-150 Raptor instead, for example?

“Because Raptors are expensive,” the company replies. An odd point to make, if you consider that a single shot from this machine gun costs $27 – and it spews out hundreds of them within mere seconds. Firing a gun like this for a minute straight would cost you around $180,000!

In order for the car to accommodate the heavy turret, the engineers had to add a heavy-duty roll cage and reinforce the bodywork.

Watch the video if you can handle seeing this car live.
