The facelifted Toyota Prius hybrid car has been officially announced in Europe, with sales following soon.
Compared to the pre-facelift version, the car sports new bumpers, revised headlights and taillights, new wheels, and a differently styled interior.
Inside, modifications were made to the center console, seats, and the wireless device charger, with the latter becoming much larger.
The Toyota Prius Hybrid AWD-e trim now comes with an additional electric motor on the rear axle, which only starts when the car starts moving or whenever there isn’t enough traction while driving under 70 km/h (43 mph). Its hybrid drivetrain thus comprises a single gasoline 1.8 V4 unit and two electric motors.
The exact availability date of the refreshed Toyota Prius series remains unknown.
