This latest CarWOW video features diesel-powered four minivans fighting for dominance on a quarter-mile track: a Mercedes-Benz Vito, a Ford Transit MS-RT, a Toyota Proace, and the refreshed Volkswagen Transporter T6.1.
The latter comes powered by a two-liter turbo diesel rated at 150 hp (112 kW) and 340 Nm (254 lb-ft) of torque. It uses a seven-speed DSG transmission and weighs in at around 2,025 kilograms (4,465 lbs).
The Ford Transit is marginally lighter at 2,009 kg (4,429 lbs) and packs 170 hp (127 kW) along with 405 Nm (299 lb-ft) of torque. It also features a manual transmission and a sports-grade exhaust system.
The Toyota Proace is the favorite of the race, packing 180 hp (134 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) delivered to the wheels via an automatic gearbox. It weighs 1,757 kg (3,873 lbs).
The Mercedes-Benz Vito is the lightest of the quartet with its 1,736 kg (3,827 lbs). It hides a 2.2-liter diesel under the hood, rated at 136 hp (100 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft). The transmission is eight-speed automatic.
