The refreshed Toyota RAV4 for the European market will go into production in the third quarter of 2022 packing new features and options.
The standard infotainment display size is now 10.5 inches instead of 8. The digital dashboard comes in four trim variants and measures 12.3 inches across, unless you opt for the cheapest trim level with a 7-inch dash display.
The infotainment now supports wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity and offers access to cloud-based navigation (an online-only feature). A new voice assistant will be able to recognize colloquial speech better, and the range-topping implementation of the infotainment system will enable sat-nav functionality with offline maps. It will also read traffic signs and warn about zero-emission zones.
The standard driving aids will include such highlights as crossroads left turn warning, cyclist detection and active steering assistance. The latter can prevent hitting a pedestrian by overtaking steering controls briefly. When performing the maneuver, the car will attempt to make sure it is otherwise safe and will try to stay within its lane at all times.
