The first public debut of the next-generation Toyota RAV4 will take place at the New York International Auto Show held on March 30 – April 8, 2018, the manufacturer said without providing any car-specific details.
Still, according to some sources claiming inside knowledge, the fifth instalment in the RAV4 series gets a brand-new TNGA car platform currently employed in other Toyota models. Its exterior appearance should mimic that of the Toyota FT-AC concept which debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year.
A bit of historical retrospective: the first mass-produced Toyota RAV4 entered the market in 1994, while its current generation has been around since 2012.
