The new 2024 Toyota RAV4 for the United States offers slightly more comfort options than its predecessor did, but also costs more as a consequence.
Perhaps most importantly, those opting for the RAV4 Hybrid may still grab it in the exclusive Woodland Edition spec (see video). It was intended as a limited series, but Toyota ultimately decided to keep it on offer for another year. Starting now, buyers can specify two-tone exterior finishes and get some extra off-road features in the optional Weather Package.
The body can now be ordered in Army Green or Ice Cap with a black roof for contrast, but nothing prevents you from specifying a single solid color instead. The wheels are 18 inches large, finished in bronze and wear all-terrain tires by default. A new mode called Trail lets drivers redirect the torque on a per-wheel basis. The suspension benefits from TRD tweaks, and the infotainment system has also been slightly refreshed, too.
Power still comes from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine teamed with an electric motor for 222 PS (219 hp / 163 kW). If you would rather ditch the electric system, there is a standard 2.5-liter ICE option rated at 206 PS (203 hp / 152 kW).
The petrol RAV4 now starts $200 higher than before the facelift, while the hybrid adds $250 to the starting price. The Woodland Edition costs $650 more than last year. Thus, the most basic trim level will set you back $29,825.
