Go on a vacation trip in this off-road-capable Toyota Sienna camper

Most camper conversions happen to pickup trucks, utility vehicles and larger vans, but in no way does this mean you cannot create a capable RV out of a minivan like the Toyota Sienna.

The MPV sports 3 inches (76 millimeters) of added ground clearance and rides on 16-inch stainless-steel rollers wrapped in BFGoodrich KO2 overlanding rubber. The roof carries a collapsible tent for two, and there is a three-zone HVAC in the cabin to bend weather to your will. Wood trim can be seen in places, and you can fold and remove the third seat row to free up some extra interior real estate.

The build is a one-of job, and you can buy it in the USA with considerable (100k+) mileage for just under $22,000. Power is sourced from a 3.3-liter V6 rated at 233 PS (230 hp / 171 kW) and 328 Nm (242 lb-ft) of torque. The drive type is not specified, but the listing states that the car routinely gets more than 28 MPG on highway (i.e., spends less than 8.4 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers). This corresponds to the manufacturer’s rating for the FWD Sienna, whereas the AWD version gets 24 MPG (9.8 l / 100 km).
