Someone has uploaded several official photos featuring the next-generation Toyota Supra online for everyone to see. Reportedly, there was an operator’s error when a potential Toyota customer filled out a form on the company’s German website and was mistakenly sent the photos of the upcoming Supra.
Then again, it’s not like we haven’t seen the supercar before. Based on numerous spy photos revealed some time ago, the exterior of the vehicle takes after the FT-1 Concept which debuted four years ago. Compared to that one, the car is missing the characteristic ‘squinting’ headlights, elevated side mirrors and the original hood with a see-through window.
The newly revealed photos confirm that the upcoming Toyota Supra series sports dark pillars, air splitter, side mirrors and aerodynamic flaps. It also features an original ‘double-bubble’ roof design.
From the technical point of view, the car is based on the 6th-gen BMW Z4 platform. It will ship with an assortment of V4 and V6 engines to choose from.
