This 1998 Toyota Supra boasts a very rare combination of trim and equipment and sells for the equivalent of U.S. $42,000, plus shipping.
What is so unique about this particular unit? It sports a Targa body painted Solar Yellow and packs a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE engine delivering 225 hp (168 kW) to an А340Е four-speed auto transmission. It is sold in Australia, while the Solar Yellow paint was only available in Japan, and packs an automatic gearbox despite not being the top trim level. Toyota only sold such cars with manual transmission, reserving automatic for leather-wrapped top trims. Seeing all of the above combined is very unusual, to say the least.
The U.S. $42,000 asking price appears entirely reasonable, too, given that well-preserved A80 Toyota Supra vehicles occasionally fetch as much as $137,000. Despite this, the sale could very well fall through due to the current situation with the pandemic. The owner himself admits that he might fail to find a new owner for his odd Supra and end up keeping it for the time being.
