Toyota Supra gets an update and a special version

Two good news for Toyota Supra fans: the model gets an update heading into 2021, as well as a limited edition meant for sale in Japan.

The three-liter, six-cylinder BMW B58B30 engine the sports car comes powered with raises its output from 340 hp (254 kW) to 387 hp (289 kW) in its latest iteration. The max torque remains capped at 500 Nm (369 lb-ft), but it is now accessible in the range between 1,800 and 5,000 RPM (previously: 1,600 – 4,500 RPM). Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) now takes 4.1 seconds instead of 4.3.

The new Horizon Blue Edition brings along a vivid blue paintjob, black forged wheels measuring 19 inches across, and a combined leather/Alcantara trim for the cabin. The production run is kept down to just 100 units, and sales in Japan are scheduled for the autumn.
