Toyota Supra GR Targa debuts during the online SEMA show

The Japanese automaker has officially announced the coming of a Targa-bodied Supra GR model. The vehicle only exists on virtual 3D renderings so far, and you could see it during the ongoing SEM360 online event.

The visualization provided reveals a racer with a two-piece hardtop likely made from carbon fiber (and likely storable in the trunk). A massive rear wing dominates its rear.

The other made-for-show Supra GR is a dedicated drift car featuring an original body kit, a six-speed sequential transmission and new turbocharges boosting the stock 3.0-liter six-cylinder.

The yellow drift car is rather extreme, reportedly packing as much as 1,047 PS (1,033 hp / 770 kW) and 1,231 Nm (908 lb-ft) of torque.
