CarWOW has set up a drag strip competition between a GR Yaris and a GR Supra, two cars with little in common besides the badges.
Powering the Yaris hot hatch is a turbocharged three-cylinder pushed to 302 PS (298 hp / 222 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission drives all four wheels, and the three-door compact only weighs 1,280 kg (2,822 lbs).
The GR Supra uses a twin-turbo inline-six rated at 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). An eight-speed auto gearbox hits the rear wheels. The sporty coupe is 215 kg (474 lbs) heavier than its rival.
