A custom-made Toyota Supra equipped with a V12 engine will be auctioned off at BH Auction in Japan in January, 2018. The vehicle was developed by Kazuhiko “Smokey” Nagata, famous car tuner and founder of Japanese tuning atelier Top Secret.
In this new rendition of Supra, the stock 3.0-liter 2JZ-GTE engine gave way to a V12 Toyota Century monster motor. Equipped with twin HKS turbochargers and a unique exhaust manifold, it is capable of outputting up to 1,000 horsepower with 1010 Nm torque.
The car now sports the trademark Top Secret aerodynamic body kit. Other notable improvements include new Aragosta suspension, Robertula racing-grade shock absorbers, eight-piston brake mechanisms, a carbon-fiber engine hood, and a spoiler. The body of the car is lacquered in a peculiar gold tint which is also a know-how of Top Secret.
On an interesting note, Kazuhiko Nagata has initially intended to break the 321 km/h (200 mph) speed record with his Top Secret Edition of Toyota Supra. However, as soon as he managed to get it going at 317 km/h (197 mph) on a highway in Great Britain, he was detained and jailed for dangerous driving. After this unfortunate episode the ever-optimistic Japanese car tuner took his ride to New Zealand, and then to Spain, where he could finally reach the record 358 km/h (222 mph).
