The late Paul Walker piloted the orange sports car as Brian o’Conner in the Fast and Furious movie franchise; the auction will take place in Las Vegas next month.
This 1994MY car was the one the filming crew used for close-up shots, so unlike its battered stunt doubles, it still remains in excellent condition. A stock 2JZ-GTE bi-turbo drives the wheels through an A340E four-speed auto transmission.
The crew had the car finished in a vivid orange hue normally found in the Lamborghini palette, while San Diego-based studio Modern Image gave it a spray graphics titled ‘Nuclear Gladiator’. Other major additions included an aluminum APR wing, a TRD hood, Dazz Motorsport Racing wheels, and a Bomex body kit.
Aside from the first movie, the car was also featured in the F&F 2, where it was driven by Slap Jack. The body was re-painted golden and the kit was replaced, but these changes have since been reverted.
Another car from the same batch – one of those the movie crew used for stunts – went for $185,000 back in 2015 despite having a weaker naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE mill, stick shift, a roll cage, and modified suspension.
