Toyota GR Supra spawns a carbon-fiber version in the USA

Toyota has introduced a limited-run A91-CF edition of its GR Supra model. All 600 cars will be heading to the United States this fall, and prices will be announced shortly before the launch.

The main difference from the stock GR Supra comes in the form of abundant carbon-fiber trim on the body, accompanied by unique 19-inch matte-black wheels and red brake calipers. The interior also makes intensive use of carbon, as well as red and black leather and Alcantara.

The Japanese company claims the new aerodynamic parts not only improve the looks, but also increase downforce. The three-liter inline-six under the hood stays unchanged, which means the car pumps out 388 PS (383 hp / 285 kW), accelerating from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

According to Toyota, all Supra buyers – not only those who opt for the exclusive A91-CF – will be given a one-year membership in the National Auto Sport Association.
