Check out a tank-engined Supra off-roader

Dozens of rare Ferraris, Nissan GT-Rs and other exotic and tuned rides came to a recent car show in the UK, but this high-rolling Toyota Supra with a tank engine under the hood stole the spotlight like none other.

Based on the video and the Instagram page of the Supra owner, he put a 5.9-liter Cummins 6BT diesel in the engine bay and outfitted it with a large turbocharger, which necessitated cutting a hole in the hood. A bespoke exhaust system was also produced for the project.

As an off-road focused build, this particular Supra rides on a custom air suspension system that grants it plenty of ground clearance. Further increasing it are giant all-terrain tires wrapped around specialized rims. There is an expedition rack with a LED bar on the roof, and a trailer hook at the back.

The author of the build said the conversion started four years ago with a dilapidated Supra lacking its famed 2JZ engine and most interior trim. A few years later, it had a diesel engine, a ZF five-speed manual transmission, and a Lexus LS400 differential. Judging by the video, the build is complete and functional.
