The fourth-gen (A80) Toyota Supra is an extremely desirable car these days, so the prices have been somewhat crazy. In fact, the one you see here costs $90,000 while managing to lack nearly everything these cars are appreciated for.
Most importantly, the Japanese coupe no longer has its legendary 2JZ six-banger under the hood. A 5.3-liter LS V8 takes up its place there along with a new crank, connecting rods and pistons, valve springs, the oil pump and most of the other components. We aren’t told how much the setup produces, but the car is reportedly capable of running a quarter-mile in less than eight seconds. If you aren’t convinced, that brake chute in the back should be a reliable indication.
Other exterior highlights include radial tires, a new front spoiler and a carbon fiber hood. Inside, the old gauges have all been removed and a new carbon dash panel put in their place.
