Video: 2JZ-swapped A90 Supra hits the dyno

Ever since the new fifth-gen Toyota Supra hit the showrooms worldwide, tuners have been busy gutting the BMW innards of these cars and putting in the iconic 2JZ engine instead. Hoonigan features one such swapped example in a new video from its Dyno Everything series.

The tuned Toyota comes equipped with a 3.0-liter inline-six 2JZ engine boosted by a Precision Turbo 7675 turbocharger. The owner had to replace the transmission in order to be able to deliver the power to the wheels properly, but the new one seems to struggle under the load, too. On a funny side note, the owner says he has no idea how much thrust his modded Supra has, although he is confident it is more than 900 horsepower.

The first dyno measurement went poorly with the Supra only finding enough traction for 552 PS (544 hp / 406 kW). The second attempt went rather smoothly and culminated in 928 PS (915 hp / 682 kW). It was ultimately accepted as the final result of the test, because the next attempt fell short of 910 PS (897 hp / 669 kW) and the driver opted to call it a day there and then.
