In the very first Fast & Furious movie, Dominic Toretto tells Brian O’Conner he owes him a 10-second car, to which the latter supplies an orange Toyota Supra. You know what happened later, but we will never know for sure how fast the cinematic Supra really was on the quarter-mile strip. The sports car in the video below – now, THAT one is fast!
Posted on YouTube by Drag Racing and Car Stuff, the video shows a number of drag races recently held in the Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. Each of the races saw a heavily modded Supra go up against some potent rivals.
The first trio of contenders are a Lexus SC 300, an Audi TT RS and a Ford Mustang. All three have modified powertrains at their disposal, but the specific nature and extent of the tuning is not revealed. For the final race, the extreme Japanese coupe fights a Tesla Model S Plaid. The two finish shoulder-to-shoulder, so you make sure you don’t miss which one emerges on top!
