The GT4 Evo version will arrive in time for the next year’s season. The car now starts from €186,000 in Europe and comes with tweaked suspension, new shock absorbers and a beefier inline-six engine.
Pre-orders are already running. The company says it is constantly in touch with racing drivers, asking them about the performance of their car on actual racetracks and making all modifications solely based on the feedback received.
The new Supra GT4 boasts adjustable KW shocks, a tuned sway bar, newly recalibrated ABS, and Brembo brake mechanisms. The front axle gets 390mm rotors and six-piston calipers, while the rear one makes do with 355mm rotors and four-piston calipers.
Per Toyota, the handling has been made simpler for amateurs and sharper for pros.
The 3.0-liter six-pot under the hood also gains some power along with an optimized torque curve, but the specifics aren’t available yet. All we know right now is that the peak torque now amounts to 660 Nm (487 lb-ft). A ZF eight-speed automatic carries the momentum to the wheels through an LSD.
The car will make its racing debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2023.
