The Japanese automotive giant Toyota has recently published a teaser video showing a new, unannounced sports car. Its premiere is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show starting on March 8th.
Apart from what has been said above, not much could be garnered from the company leaders. We did get a valuable hint, however, that the car was going to be a reincarnation of a legendary sports vehicle. What this means is that it’s likely going to be a new Toyota Supra.
The vehicle will be assembled under the Gazoo Racing banner and benefit from a unique, purpose-built platform jointly developed by Toyota and BMW. The same platform will be used in the third-gen Z4 roadster. A carbon body will allow the car to weigh as little as 1,400 kilograms (3,085 lbs.).
This new Toyota flagship vehicle is going to get a wide assortment of engines to pick your favorite from, including a 2.0L V4 turbo with approx. 245 hp and a 3.0L V6 with 330 hp.
Four different models of the car – each with their own features, specifications and performance, as well as the price tag – will be made available.
