Toyota celebrates 100th GR Supra racer with 2 limited edition launches

The Toyota Gazoo Racing division has reported issuing its 100th Supra GT4 racecar. To mark the occasion, the company will be producing two special spin-offs from the series, including 100 road-legal and 3 track-only examples. The right to buy one will be raffled off.

All road-legal cars will be finished in orange with wheels, brake calipers and leather/Alcantara cabin offset in matte black. A plaque reading ‘Supra 100 Edition’ will be mounted on the passenger’s side of the dashboard.

From the technical point of view, the model corresponds to the RZ spec with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is expected to make its first public appearance on the Fuji Speedway during the Super GT Championship race tomorrow, May 3. The ticket raffle among the would-be buyers will be held in Japan from May 8 until June 4. In mid-June, Toyota will contact the dealerships that will be authorized to sell the cars starting from ¥7,600,000. The actual deliveries will only be made in the fall.

As for the track-focused Supra GT4 100 Edition, it will also wear an orange paintjob, but with an original front end design and special badging all around. It is unknown how much it will cost in Japan. The standard racing coupe (see video) starts from €186,000 in Europe.
