Car spotters nabbed a Toyota Supra GRMN testing on track last week, but we only got some photos from them. Now, CarSpyMedia has posted a video showing the pre-production car ripping through the Nürburgring.
The person who filmed the video claims that the coupe was equipped with a manual gearbox. Telling whether that was the case by watching the video is difficult, though. On the other hand, we are pretty convinced that there is an S58 six-pot at work: the same mill powers the latest BMW M4.
Then again, other possibilities exist. Some say the GRMN version of the Supra will continue using the main car’s B58 inline-six block with three liters of displacement and a twin-turbo setup. The original output of 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) should get a sizable boost to warrant that Gazoo Racing badge.
