Toyota sends a driverless Supra duo sliding

The Japanese automotive giant has posted a video of what it claims to be the world’s first synchronous drift of two fully autonomous sports cars.

A sophisticated AI system co-developed with Stanford Engineering is responsible for the steering in the entirety of the video, the company boasts.

The engineers behind the project say they hope that self-driving will eventually lead to an improvement in public road safety.
