These photos depicting the new Toyota Tacoma were apparently supposed to be revealed one by one, but someone leaked them on the Internet ahead of the official schedule. It looks like the pickup shown here is a TRD Pro spec with new headlights. There is still no launch date, though, so let’s check out the images in the meantime.
The entire pickup body is darkened to the point where it’s too difficult to make out the individual details. That said, you can at least still discern the headlights and the DRLs, as well as a light bar running below the hood cover rim between the headlights.
One of the shots depicts a radiator grille with the name ‘Toyota’ spelled out in capitals instead of the usual company logo. The hood has a stamped relief on it, too, and the fenders are visibly flared.
All of the above makes us believe we are dealing with the TRD Pro flagship spec here and not just the standard Tacoma. It could be the first version to go on sale.
