Blue Beetle, the next superhero movie from the DC universe, is coming to the big screen on August 18. Toyota, which supplied the shooting set with a number of its cars, has now released an ad video that essentially doubles as another trailer.
The characters in the minute-long vid witness Blue Beetle as it races down the city streets and start debating whether the superhero or his ride is cooler. The argument begins with one of the characters basically saying that it would be nice to have a superpower. Someone else responds saying that the Toyota Tacoma is cooler than Blue Beetle.
In the end, the debaters agree that the only aspect in which the vehicle yields to the superhero is the ability to traverse outer space. The video ends with a cameo from the titular hero himself.
The movie, which was directed by Angel Manuel Soto, tells the story of a struggle between a teenager turned into a superhero by an alien artifact and a supervillain in a high-tech suit.
