Four Toyota Tundra truck drivers were stuck in an ice prison after deciding to explore an iced-over, normally impassable trail on Mt. Almagre, Colorado, USA. Watch the video for an impressive rescue operation.
The tourists wanted to explore the mountainous passes in the vicinity of Almagre, but the temperature fell abruptly and ice gripped the slopes. The group had tried slowly descending off a slippery slope, lost traction and slid down into some trees. The trees fortunately broke their fall, but getting out of the ice trap without help from the outside seemed impossible.
A local group of volunteers arrived at the spot on anti-skid tires and spent a whole day getting the trucks and their drivers out of their cold prison. Thanks to professional and well-coordinated actions of ten people, everyone got out unharmed in the end.
