The WhistlinDiesel team on YouTube has a long history of torturing apparently innocent Toyota Hilux pickups, slamming their doors until they break, overloading them with concrete slabs and crash-testing them against trees. The latest ‘test’ somehow turned out even more destructive than the rest.
The car was first lifted by a helicopter and dropped from an altitude of 500 feet (152 meters). Amazingly enough, the frame retained its integrity for the most part, although the engine never fired up again.
WhistlinDiesel then proceeded to take the car ten thousand feet (over 3,000 meters) into the air and drop it from there. The poor Hilux did not fare well, to say the least, having turned into a rather flat pancake of crushed metal. Most ominously, though, the video ended with the words ‘To be continued’.
