Next-gen Toyota Tundra gets to keep its lowering rear window

Toyota has shared the fourth out of eight planned teaser materials dedicated to its new Tundra pickup, and it has something important to tell us.

First, the footage focuses on a panoramic roof made up from two movable glass panes – nothing new, but nice, nonetheless. The true highlight is the rear glass, however, which can be seen lowering towards the end of the video. This basically means the next-gen pickup truck will still have an opening rear window, something that most car manufacturers do not offer anymore.

Some other details, like red seats and safety belts, can also be seen inside. Earlier teasers showed us a red 12-hour mark on the steering wheel, close-ups of the new infotainment system, and the digital dashboard.

In all likelihood, the new iteration of the Tundra will utilize the same 3.5-liter V6 as the latest Land Cruiser 300, rated at 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
