Next-gen Toyota Tundra drops camo

A next-generation Toyota Tundra truck has been spotted sitting undisguised in a parking lot in the United States, ahead of its official premiere later this year.

Judging by the shots, the car will get a completely redesigned exterior with a curved shoulder line, punched-out sides, LED lighting, and a large radiator grille.

Technical parameters have not been revealed yet. The only thing we know right now is that the pickup will ship with coil springs at the rear end instead of leaf springs – but it is not clear whether all trims or just the TRD Pro will take advantage of this upgrade.

Rumor has it that the Tundra will share the platform and tech with the Land Cruise 300, including a 3.5-liter V6 turbo with 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW). A hybridized variant of the same powertrain could also be released.

The only official pic showing the exterior of the 2022 Tundra focused on the TRD Pro version with a special body kit and different wheels. Toyota also released images of a sunroof and a large infotainment display.
